We walked for about 20 mins to visit this park and found it a bit disappointing. I wouldn't say it's worth a detour.
The avenue of palm trees is impressive, but there is very little else in the way of a garden. Sat in a cafe opposite for a while, sipping mint tea and watching the world go by. At least it's a green space. Nice place to take a walk in the day time, can get a little dicey in the evening. But it's nice to have a large public area so centrally located.
